Rachael Ray Really Rocks (Aroc Urtu) Again

We're really thrilled that Rachael Ray has once again worn Aroc Urtu on her show. I love that on the show was a segment with Bindi Irwin, the young animal conservationist and daughter of the late Steve Irwin. Bindi was handling a large endangered species of snake. Perfect that Rachael was wearing her black diamond and snake pendant! I have to admit that presented with such a large scary looking creature I would have reacted as Rachael did - with utmost terror. I do love snakes and firmly believe in protecting them, but I definitely prefer to have them on my body in the form of jewelry.

Peace, Love, and Rocks,

Other Stones We Adore

Humans have been decorating stones throughout the entire history of our species. Cave walls, monoliths, you name it - we embellished it. I love the contrast of the ancient with the modern and realizing that the human capacity for imagination and our drive to create is limitless.

What amazing treatment have you done to a stone recently or are thinking about doing?

Peace, love and rocks,
Lauren

May Day, May Day!

After what has been the longest, dreariest winter here in NYC, it is finally, at long last SPRING! I really do feel like dancing around a maypole, but since there wasn't one available I've taken pictures of some very Springy things.

Ahhh, the park across the street that was covered in snow for so long has exploded in color.

I love my neighbor's bicycle that is always decorated to the nines.

And Aroc Urtu has been busy growing and expanding also. How perfect for Spring are our bunny, feather, and dove charms?

Peace, love and rocks,

Lauren
