One beach I would love to return to isMonterrico, Guatemala. Beautiful black sand, remote, and fairly untraveled made this feel like a very adventurous destination.
It was my mother's birthday and we had made her a surprise cake. We then all went out to the beach, (of course gathering some amazing black stones) surfed, sunned and napped. Upon returning to the house famished for dinner and cake, we were confronted with a rather large iguana splayed in the middle of said birthday cake thrashing its arms and legs. Well, no cake, but some very nice stones...
